Rules

1 General Info
1. Name of the Title: Hearthstone.
2. Videogame Platform: PC.
3. The current patch available in the country is used for the competitions.
4. A Match is a single Bo5, meaning a maximum of 5 Games will be played.
5. Game Format: 4 Hero 1 Ban Conquest, Standard

2 Tournament Structure
1. The tournament consists of a BYOC Qualifier, which results in two players advancing to the Main Tournament, which consists of 6 invites + 2 players from the BYOC Qualifier.
2. BYOC Qualifier
The BYOC Qualifier structure depends on the number of signups and will be communicated just before starting time. It will be played out on Friday evening. Two players will advance to the Main Tournament. Deck lists used in the BYOC Qualifier can be different from the deck lists used in the Main Tournament.



3. Main Tournament
The Main Tournament is a double elimination bracket tournament with public deck lists. The schedule and locations (booth or main stage) are predetermined.

3 Configuration of Matches
1. Settings
- Game mode: Standard

2. Match Procedure
- Players inform the referee which class they want banned using the provided score sheet. After both players have submitted their ban the referee will inform the other player which class is banned. For the BYOC tournament, an external tool like deckselect.eu can be used.
- Players select their characters and start the Match.
- A player must win one Game with each of his three remaining decks to win the Match.

3. Match Obligations
- 10 minutes shall be given for preparation before the match begins. Players that are not ready to play within ten (10) minutes of the Match start time are subject to penalties including a possible Match forfeiture.
- Players may not voluntarily forfeit a Match without prior authorization from Tournament Organizers.

4. Match Disruptions
- Restarts
Tournament Organizers may order a Game or Match restart due to exceptional circumstances, such as if a bug significantly affects a Player’s ability to play or a Game or Match is unable to finish.
- Stalling
Stalling, or excessively delaying the Game or Match, may result in a Game or Match forfeit at the discretion of Tournament Organizers.



5. External software
Third party software such as deck trackers are not allowed.

6. Cheating
- Any cheating, as determined by the Tournament Organizers in their sole discretion, will result in an immediate forfeiture and additional penalties depending on the severity of the infraction.

7. Result
- After finishing a Match, player shall confirm it with referee.
- Any result not confirmed by the referee shall not be counted.


4 Malfunction
1. When the PC or any other component malfunctions, the player shall report it to the referee by raising a hand.
2. In the situations listed below, relevant set shall become void, and a rematch of the set shall be conducted.
- In the case of unidentified bugs or unintentional occurrences of bugs.
- When the decision of a win/loss is impossible to decide by the progress of the match.
3. In the event of an observer’s PC malfunctioning, the match shall continue if it’s considered to have no influence on the match.


5 Additional rules preliminaries
1 Confirmation
Teams that have registered online must confirm their registration at the competition desk on Friday, 9th of November, before 7:30 PM. To ease the confirmation process please bring your seat numbers.
2 Seat numbers
To make sure that everyone can be easily located please ensure that your seat numbers are displayed on your Team Profile page.
